I spent Saturday in the city again, roaming around various neighborhoods to get a feel of how people here spend their time on the weekends. Nakano was the first spot, followed by Harajuku, and finally Shibuya. The weather was terrific so there were a lot of people out and about, which made for some great pictures. There was a "free market" (I guess I would call it a swap meet) in one of the parks in Nakano that was fun to walk through and see what people were selling.
People were selling all kinds of stuff. Jewelry, toys, clothes, etc.
There were a fair amount of people selling plants and seeds as well.
There were a few food trucks with all kinds of food, and areas for people to sit and eat.
Even the dogs were trying to get in on the food action.
Hopped on the train to the Harajuku district, and there were so many people right when I got out of the station.
The people in Japan are literally dripping in swag, even the kids. Definitely more to come on this subject later.
I had to make the trip out to the famous Shibuya crosswalk. I was kind of bummed that there weren't any high up vantage points though.
There were a few people showing of their Freeskating skills just outside of Yoyogi Park.
The park was pretty big, and there were tons of people enjoying the weather in the late afternoon as the sun set.
